Vacuum Filtration

Sterlitech laboratory filtration products, including our vacuum filtration pumps, glass filter holders, pressure filtration pumps and polysulfone holders are all essential components for your lab’s vacuum filtration process.
Vacuum filtration is used primarily in microbiological and laboratory procedures involving the collection of a particulate (bacteria, precipitate, etc.) from a liquid suspension. Liquid poured into a funnel passes through a filter, which retains the particulate, and filtrate can be collected into a filter flask, directly or via a vacuum manifold. Applying vacuum filtration also reduces process time compared to gravity flow.
Our Vacuum Filtration Selection
Glass Filter Holders
Sterlitech glass filter holders are designed for the optimum vacuum filtration of small volumes for biological or particulate contamination.
Manifolds
Sterlitech vacuum filtration manifolds are available in 2-way or 3-way valves.
Plastic Holders and Vacuum Filters
Sterlitech polysulfone filter holders are designed without clamps, making it easy to interchange vacuum filtration filters.
Phase and Fraction Collectors
Sterlitech phase and fraction collectors are essential for the prevention of venting of hazardous sample solvents into the atmosphere during certain vacuum filtration experiments.
Stainless Steel Filter Holder
Sterlitech stainless steel vacuum filter holders are non-breakable, making them ideal for flame sterilization in between samplings.
Vacuum Pumps
All of the Sterlitech vacuum filtration pumps you see here are piston-powered and oil-free and are available in a variety of vacuum filtration ranges, 110 and 220V, and PTFE.
