The Sterlitech Glass Filter funnel assembly gets an upsize!

13mm, 25mm, 47mm, and 90mm – These were the available diameters of various glass filter funnels available suitable for use with membrane disc filters; until now.

Sterlitech is proud to announce the launch of a new larger 150 mm diameter All-Glass Filter Assembly with a 10 liter receiver flask for processing significantly higher volumes in a single holder! Borosilicate glass filter funnels are ideal tools for use in laboratory and bench-scale filtration as they have very good chemical resistance against solvents, caustics, and most acids. When paired with the right membrane disc filter, they find a place in almost any microfiltration application area.

The 150mm All-Glass assembly comes after a year of development work that originally centered on the filtering active compounds for cannabis applications in a process known as winterizing (cold filtering) extracts. The 90mm funnel assembly has been working hard in this area for that time, but more extraction facilities are coming on line and the need arose for a higher throughput processing design.

The new assembly uses the same proven technology as the 90mm holders, but now has a 2 liter funnel on top, a funnel base with a PTFE-coated stainless steel membrane support screen, a GL14 port to connect to a vacuum line, and a 10 liter receiver coated with PVC to minimize risk of thermal and mechanical shock.

Compatible with any thin-film or polymeric membrane disc filter of 150mm diameter, such as cellulose, PES, PTFE, and many more, the 150mm All-Glass assembly will be available for release in Early August 2017 for $2545.46.  Sterlitech will also offer this unit as part of a complete Botanical Extract Filter Kit that includes a vacuum pump, tubing, and 3 packs of filters for $3603.85.
