Introducing Lexi Simpkins, Ph.D. – Bioprocessing Sales Representative
We’re excited to introduce Lexi Simpkins, Ph.D. as Sterlitech’s new Bioprocessing Sales Representative!
Lexi holds a doctorate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from UC Irvine, where her research focused on leveraging microfluidic platforms and cell electrophysiology to study cancer cell behavior and therapy resistance—particularly in prostate cancer. Her work, supported by the NSF Fellowship and UC Irvine’s President’s Dissertation Award, aimed to understand the electrical signatures of cancer cells as a label free biomarker to understand cancer cell dynamics.
Lexi’s ability to solve complex problems and communicate science clearly has been shaped by years of experience in quality, manufacturing, and R&D across the medical device and biopharma industries. These experiences laid the groundwork for her transition into sales—a role she had long been drawn to.
“What drew me to this role,” Lexi shares, “was the chance to connect with researchers, learn about their work, and provide the tools they need to succeed. Helping customers advance their science is incredibly rewarding.”
Please join us in welcoming Lexi! We’re excited to see the difference she’ll make in helping researchers and bioprocessing professionals push the boundaries of what’s possible.
