How long do capsule filters last before they should be replaced?

Capsule filters are disposable, and their service life depends on the particulate load, flow rate, and operating pressure. Replace the filter when you observe a drop in flow rate or an increase in differential pressure, indicating that the filter is clogged. Sterlitech recommends replacing the filter before it exceeds 30 psi differential pressure. Some membrane capsule filters can be autoclaved up to 5 cycles at 121 °C for 30 minutes, but they should still be discarded once clogged or damaged.
