Crossflow TFF Test Cells are bench-scale Crossflow TFF membrane test cells used in pressure driven applications. Sterlitech offers test cells that are designed for small scale crossflow filtration testing using polymeric flat sheet membranes in a wide range of RO, NF, UF and MF. Sterlitech also offers a bench-scale test cell for tubular ceramic membranes: Valisette ceramic test cells. Sterlitech Crossflow TFF Cells can be incorporated into any Benchtop or Skid Mounted System.
In general, the feed solution is circulated tangentially to the membrane filter in the Crossflow TFF membrane test cells. Molecules or materials which are smaller than the membrane's molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) or porosity pass through the membrane as permeate and the remainder is retained on the feed side of the membrane as retentate.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) together with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), recently announced plans to phase out several petroleum based synthetic food dyes from the U.S. food supply [1]. This shift is expected to accelerate investment in natural colorant development, creating new challenges for food and beverage manufacturers seeking to maintain color consistency, stability, and production efficiency.
Desalination removes salt and other minerals from water, producing two primary streams: freshwater and brine. As desalination capacity grows, effective brine management is becoming essential to reduce environmental impact and improve overall water recovery.
Pressure-driven membrane technology has become a cornerstone process for protein separation and purification, offering a scalable and gentle alternative to traditional thermal and chemical methods Among the various membrane-based processes available today, pressure-driven processes, microfiltration (MF) and ultrafiltration (UF), are most applicable due to their simplicity, scalability, and gentle operating conditions. These processes are used across biotechnology, dairy, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries.
