PTFE Laminated Membrane Filters

These hydrophobic PTFE membrane filters are laminated onto polypropylene netting for improved strength and handling. Due to broad chemical compatibility and excellent water repellency, they are ideal for solvent filtration, phase separations, venting, and air sampling. 

Laminated ePTFE features improved handleability, enabling convenient use in most disc filter holders. These filters are suitable for a wide variety of applications including clarification of compatible non-aqueous solvents, phase separations investigations, venting including water repellency, and environmental air sampling.

PTFE (fine powder resin) is expanded into a 3-dimensional web-like structure called ePTFE which creates billions of microscopic pores. This structure utilizes the inherent hydrophobic (water-resistant) and non-stick nature of PTFE to allow removal of particulate captured on the membrane surface. Our ePTFE membranes and laminates provide device manufacturers with a consistent, temperature and chemical compatible barrier to microbes and particulate matter. The optimal combination of air flow and water entry pressure adds value to most device designs.

Note: 0.1-0.2 µm rated filters have nonwoven polypropylene backing instead of a netted backing.
