1 Maintain higher pressure on the retentate feed side. Control permeate (draw solution) side to have some pressure and flow to keep minimum transmembrane pressure at 5 psi or above.
2 If the membrane dries out, it is impossible to re-wet and should be discarded. If the membrane freezes, the pore structure may lose its integrity and the membrane should be discarded.
