Gold-Coated Polycarbonate Membrane Filters
This gold-coated track-etched polycarbonate (PCTG) membrane allows for nearly 100% surface filtration. The core-pore filter is well suited to particle analysis, including measurements of indoor and outdoor air for inorganic fibers such as asbestos, as well as dusts and powders. It's also used for asbestos analysis of plaster, fillers, and paints — thanks to its very flat surface and tunnel-shaped pores, particles remain on the smooth surface of the membrane and can be analyzed microscopically.
