Aluminum Oxide Membrane Filters, 0.02 Micron, 13mm, 10/pk

Aluminum Oxide (AO) membrane filters feature uniform, densely-packed honeycomb pore structures that contribute to precise retention and high porosity. Composed of pure anodized aluminum, these filters have essentially no organic extractables. They're inherently hydrophilic with low non-specific binding, and show excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and most non-aqueous solvents. Virtually transparent when wet, the material shows minimal autofluorescence and excellent surface retention, making it well suited to microscopic analyses. AO membranes are also non-cytotoxic with good biocompatibility, enabling use as a cell culture substrate, and their uniform, non-interconnected pores present a suitable template for the synthesis of nanostructures. These membranes are supplied as non-supported circular filters; a vacuum and/or flat tweezers are recommended for handling.
