Empore Plates

The Empore solid phase extraction (SPE) membrane technology used by our Empore well plates integrates solid phase sorbent particles within a network of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibrils.
Sterlitech carries a wide array of Empore SPE 96 well plates, including:
- Empore silica sorbent well plates like the C8-SD and C18-SD plate models;
- Empore mixed phase chemistry (MPC-SD) well plates;
- Empore universal resin (UR) sorbent well plates; and
- An assortment of custom made Empore 96 well plate accessories.
The Empore SPE membranes found inside all of our Empore solid phase extraction (SPE) well plates also feature:
- Fast sample flow rates - as the mass transfer kinetics of the tightly packed particles allow recoveries that are independent of sample flow rate
- Reduced solvent usage compared to liquid-liquid extraction and traditional packed particle SPE products
- Clean eluates - the PTFE fibrils minimize fine particles, extending column life
- Potential elimination of solvent evaporation/reconstitution steps with Empore SPE cartridges and Empore 96 plates
Our Empore Plates Selection
Empore™ Well Plates, C8-SD, C18-SD
Functional groups, such as octyl (C8) and octadecyl (C18), can be bonded to the silica surface to provide non polar interactions.
Empore™ Plates, UR (Universal Resin)
The sorbent used in Empore universal resin (UR) well plates is a terpolymer based on SDB, which contains polar functional groups.
Empore™ Plates, MPC-SD
Allows for a more efficient and selective extraction compared to traditional reversed phase techniques.
Empore™ Plates, Accessories
Available Empore SPE well plate accessories include Vacuum Manifolds, Replacement Gaskets, and Sealing Tape Pads.
