Nitrocellulose Mixed Esters (MCE) Membrane
Sterlitech Nitrocellulose Mixed Esters (MCE)
membrane is an unsupported, naturally hydrophilic membrane. It is
ideal for use in diagnostic kit manufacturing applications.
Consistent uniformity to improve control
and performance
Sterlitech MCE, a proprietory mixture
of nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate, meets rigorous quality
standards throughout every step of production. This process ensures
the membrane has a uniform pore structure and consistent thickness
and cosmetic characteristics.
This membrane is cast
from a high-quality, nitrocellulose polymer. Its thickness can be
controlled to plus or minus 10 microns to accommodate various applications.
Sterlitech Nitrocellulose
MCE is easily blocked giving a very low background. This aids in
the detection of low-level analysis and makes this membrane ideal
for use in lateral flow assays and dot/slot blotting. The large/consistent
pore structure promotes fast wick rates and ensures rapid test results
in diagnostic kit applications.
Features and Benefits (Click
for details):
- BSA protein binding capacity of 160 ug/cm^2
- High wick rates (lateral flow)
- Uniform pore structure
- Superior strength
- Exceptional sensitivity
- Low extractables
- Lot-to-lot consistency
