Polycarbonate (PCTE) Membranes

Sterlitech polycarbonate track etch (PCTE) membrane disc filters are made from a thin, microporous polycarbonate film material. PCTE membranes are ideally suited for use in blood assays as well as high-purity or general filtration.
Each PCTE membrane is produced through a two-step, proprietary manufacturing process that employs high quality standards. This unique process allows for increased control over the polycarbonate film membrane’s pore size and density, which also ensures that the physical properties of each PCTE membrane will fit your specifications precisely. The resulting PCTE membrane is a thin, translucent and microporous polycarbonate film with a smooth, flat surface. All particles larger than the pore size are captured on its surface.

Hydrophilic Polycarbonate Membrane Filters
These Polycarbonate Track Etch (PCTE) membranes are hydrophilic (PVP coated) and made from a thin, microporous polycarbonate film material.
Hydrophobic Polycarbonate Membrane Filters
Hydrophobic Polycarbonate Track Etch (PCTE) membranes are excellent for general filtration when a hydrophobic or non-coated (PVP) polycarbonate membrane is required.
AOX Polycarbonate Membrane Filters
AOX Polycarbonate Membranes for determining levels of organic halides in groundwater and wastewater, which are usually an indication of man-made pollution.
Low Extractable Membrane Filter
The Low Extractable Membrane - For groundwater testing of nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, and phosphates.
Schistosome Test Kit
The Schistosome Test Kit uses the membrane filtration techinique for quantification of schistosome eggs in urine.
