Cross and Tangential Flow Test Cells

Bench scale test equipment for cross flow/tangential flow includes our durable, high pressure, chemically-resistant HP4750 stirred cell which is used to perform a wide variety of high pressure membrane separations. Crossflow and tangential flow cells are used most commonly in the sub-micron range (MF, UF, NF, and RO).  Complete cross and tangential flow bench scale test equipment rental units are available in the Sepa CF, CF042, and HP4750 models. In general, the feed solution is passed across the crossflow/tangential flow membrane cells (tangential to the filter membrane). Material which is smaller than the crossflow membrane cells, be it a SEPA CF II membrane cell system, an SDI kit or a Valisette ceramic test cell, passes through the membrane as permeate and the remainder is retained on the feed side of the membrane as retentate.  See this link from the Sepa CF membrane cell system section for more details.
