Empore™ Disks, SDB-RPS
Sterlitech’s Empore SDB-RPS disks are mixed phase extraction disks made from a polystyrenedivinylbenzene copolymer that has been modified with sulfonic acid groups to make them hydrophilic.
The SDB-RPS sorbent chemistry from which these Empore SPE disks are made is not bonded to silica, but is actually a 100% copolymeric particle that’s spherical, porous and cross-linked. This sulfonation makes Empore SDP-RPS disks particularly selective towards organic analytes that are polar in nature, such as drugs, drug metabolites, water-soluble pesticides and pesticide metabolites. Empore SDP-RPS SPE disks are also useful for comprehensive drug screenings, in which a wide range of analytes are simultaneously extracted.
Empore SDB-RPS Disk Product Benefits:
• can be used as a reversed phase sorbent and substituted into existing methods
• organic analytes with polar character have been shown to extract better on SDB-RPS than on traditional C18 bonded silica
